Make Music Chicago is a free, citywide event held every June 21st that brings together Chicagoans to make and celebrate music, regardless of age, ability or preferred musical style—a perfect way to herald the summer solstice.

Lux Cantorum is proud to join this year’s lineup, returning to Fourth Presbyterian Church’s stunning Buchanan Chapel to reprise May’s “Sacred Classics” concert. Join us to kick off your weekend and your summer, and experience memorable works, including pieces by Bach, Mozart, Hogan, Handel, Haydn, and Janowski.

Based on the French Fête de la Musique, Make Music Chicago was first presented in 2011. Chicago joins over 1,000 cities in more than 120 countries across the globe, making the Fête de la Musique the world’s largest single-day music festival.
