We nurture an inclusive, creative community by sharing the transformative power of sacred choral music.

Lux Cantorum Chicago

is a unique sacred choral ensemble with a rich spiritual tradition and an ever-expanding repertoire. For more than 70 years, LCC has enlightened, educated and entertained the people of Chicago and the world.

Founded in 1947 as Lutheran Choir of Chicago, we have evolved into a select group of performers from different spiritual backgrounds who share a common desire to make joyful music—and now sing as Lux Cantorum. From Bach to Brahms to contemporary song, we reach out to people everywhere with musical reflections of our shared human experience.

Rehearsals

Lux Cantorum Chicago rehearses Monday nights from 7:30pm-9:30pm in Portage Park. Our season typically runs from September to May with a concert series in the fall and spring.
